  • 1-Year Workmanship Warranty

We provide a 1-year warranty on our workmanship for completed renovation projects, starting from the date of substantial completion.

  • Covers Core Renovation Work

Applies to carpentry, tiling, drywall, painting, flooring, decks, and other renovation work — including related plumbing, electrical, and HVAC done by TrueCraft-approved trades.

  • Halifax & Surrounding Area

Our warranty covers projects completed by TrueCraft Maritime Renovations within Halifax Regional Municipality and nearby communities.

How Our Renovation Warranty Works

When you renovate with TrueCraft, you don’t just get a finished space — you get our ongoing support.

  • Workmanship Warranty (1 Year)
We warrant that our workmanship will be free from defects for 1 year from the date your project is substantially completed.

  • What This Means for You
If something related to our workmanship fails under normal use — a tile comes loose, trim separates, a deck board was installed incorrectly, a vent we installed isn’t performing as intended — we’ll assess and correct the issue according to the terms of our warranty.

  • Who Performs the Work
Warranty service is performed by TrueCraft staff or trusted trade partners approved by us.

Your full, signed Warranty Certificate is provided at project closeout and governs all terms and conditions.

Our warranty is designed to protect you against defects in our workmanship — not wear-and-tear or misuse. In simple terms: if we didn’t do it right the first time, we’ll make it right.

What’s Covered Under Our Warranty

Examples of covered items include:

  • Carpentry & Framing
Walls, ceilings, bulkheads, door and window framing, built-in structures installed by TrueCraft.

  • Finishes

  • Flooring & Tiling
Installation of tile, vinyl, laminate, engineered hardwood, and related underlayments installed by TrueCraft or our approved trades.

  • Bathrooms & Kitchens
Installation of showers, tubs, tile surrounds, vanities, countertops, backsplashes, cabinetry, and related trim work.

  • Decks & Exterior Carpentry
Framed decks, railings, stairs, and exterior doors installed by TrueCraft (subject to normal maintenance by the homeowner).

  • Plumbing, Electrical & HVAC

What’s Not Covered

To keep things clear and fair, some items are not covered by our warranty. These are standard exclusions across the renovation industry.

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear (scuffs, dings, scratches, minor cracks from natural settling)

  • Damage from misuse, abuse, or neglect

  • Lack of regular maintenance (e.g., not caulking, sealing, or repainting as needed)

  • Issues caused by moisture, leaks, or structural movement outside of our scope of work

  • Existing conditions that were not part of our contracted work

  • Materials supplied by the homeowner or third parties outside of TrueCraft’s control

  • Appliances, fixtures, and manufactured products (these are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty)

  • Modifications by others after our work is complete

If you’re ever unsure whether something is covered, we encourage you to reach out — we’re always happy to take a look and provide guidance.
